For undergraduate and graduate students, your library privileges (the ability to check out items and access eBooks and databases) will expire the day after your graduation date. There is a short grace period to allow for the return of library materials. For students taking a leave of absence or who have not yet registered for classes, your library privileges will extend until the beginning of the following semester.
For staff and faculty who have separated from the university, your library privileges will expire on your last day. Retirees retain full access to library services.
Non-UNM affiliates, including former students, staff and faculty and community researchers who wish to access UNM Libraries' physical collections should apply for a Community Borrower Card (CBC). A CBC does not grant off-campus access to eBooks or library databases. Access to these resources is only available to non-affiliates while physically present on UNM's campus and connected to the Lobo Guest WiFi network, or while using one of the libraries' community computers.
Library spaces are open to the public with valid, government or school-issued photo identification. Visit the desk near the library entrances to check in with staff. Please note that campus, including the libraries, is closed to the public after 9 p.m.
