Students, Faculty, and Staff

To troubleshoot logging in to databases, journals, Interlibrary Loan, and Library Account for checked out items using your Net ID and password:

  • If you get an an error message from EBSCO, try resetting your connection by using this link: https://search.ebscohost.com/RemoveCookie.aspx?d=N&cn=webauth  And then starting over from library.unm.edu

    For other error messages:
  • Make sure your NetID and password are current, by logging into Lobomail in a private/incognito browser window.  If you aren't able to log in there,  follow the instructions at UNM Net ID Maintenance and Password Changes.
  • Verify your affiliation in the UNM Directory
    • Search for and click on your name to verify that you have a current location of MainHSLIC, or UNMH. If it is incorrect, you will need to contact the Registrar (if you are a student) or the relevant HR office to have that fixed.

  • Try logging into libproxy.unm.edu. If successful, you should see a long list of databases.
    • If you CAN log into Lobomail, AND the directory shows you have a location of MainHSLIC, or UNMH, but you CAN'T log in to Libproxy, open a ticket with our e-resources team providing your NetID, the error message you saw, and approximately what time you saw the error.
  • Try your search and authentication in different browsers, in case you have a browser setting or extension that is interfering with your access.
  • Try clearing your cache under your browser privacy settings
  • If you can access Lobomail and Libproxy, but not another library service, database, or collection, please open a ticket with our e-resources team.
