You can use library spaces and materials on site. With the purchase of a Community Borrowers Card (CBC), you can borrow books and other materials such as CDs and DVDs.
Please see the page Help for Visitors & Community Borrowers for more information and details.
When on campus, you can access our electronic resources with your own laptop or for one hour on our Community Computers. Here are links to several of our collections:
Access to the UNM Library Catalog
Access to the Center for Southwest Research and Special Collections
- Access to Map & Geographic Information Center (MAGIC) is available by appointment
Off campus or from home, you can search El Portal, a collection of databases provided by the New Mexico State Library.
Most of our events and exhibits are open to the public. Here is the schedule of events.
*Note: Visiting researchers (faculty, staff, and graduate students) currently affiliated with NMCAL institutions may be able to participate in NMCAL Passport Plus. See Visiting Scholars for more info.
