These signs monitor noise in Zimmerman Library's Learning Commons, the main collaborative space on the first floor. The meters are set to particular decibel levels which start at green and will turn and stay red if it gets too loud. The signs help us discover problem areas and ensure mutual consideration. The Learning Commons is a collaborative space and background noise from group study is expected. We do ask that everyone be considerate of others in the space.

We respect your right to study. If you do have noise or safety concerns, please report them to library staff at the Service Desk on the first floor in the Learning Commons.
