The Map And Geographic Information Center (MAGIC) is located in Centennial Science and Engineering Library (CSEL), and has a large collection of maps, including:

  • U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps ("topos") for all 50 states, as well as other maps for the United States and the world.
  • Thematic maps, such as linguistic or population density maps and historical maps.
  • Emphasis on Latin America

Some maps can be checked out.

To find maps in MAGIC:

  • Start at the homepage
  • Enter terms in the quick search box
  • Limit results by format on the left side of the search results page (you may need to click See All)

To find map resources online, including databases:

  • Start at the homepage
  • Click on the By Type dropdown menu
  • Choose Maps
  • Click on the arrow to the left of database title for a description
